workers are injured as they begin working on a machine before the power
is locked out and all potential energy is brought to zero.
According to Cal/OSHA, large number of employees are injured because they do not turn off the machine before beginning work.
Lock-Out/Tag-Out
is required for those who must work on equipment where they remove
safety guards or have to put their body parts into danger zones.
